A solid oak stick barometer by T.F. Weisener Sidney (Australia). With spirit thermometer and turned cistern cover. The barometer scales with two rack and pinion verniers and signed 'English make'.
T.F. Weisener Was born in Germany and emigrated to Australia in the early 1870's, where he established a very successful jewelry, but mainly scientific instrument business. He imported instruments from Europe, mostly England, so this barometer has made the round trip.
